I will always remember your mom with warm memories of when we all use to sleep over the already crowded Griggs house ~ She always had a funny story to tell and a good ear for listening. I can picture her back then like it was yesterday. My heart goes out to Shirley and Tom and the extended Griggs family.

Nana, you have my sincere apologies for being unavailable. I like to think that in a way, you'd be happy I wasn't there. because that means i've moved on myself. I've taken with me on my journeys around the world a pocket full of memories, a majoriety of my favorite ones taking place at your house in Waltham. so for that, Thanks. You will be missed.

Mom, My Bestfriend,
I cherish the memories of every moment spent with you.
You were always there to talk with, play srabble (beat me most times), going to Bingo and lots of camping trips.
You helped me in so many ways to get thorough the good and bad.
Will always remember the Humming Bird buzzing over your red hat fishing at Diamond Pond.
Will miss you everyway and always
Love

Mom, I Don’t Mind The Pain
When you died, I had no sights or thoughts for tomorrow. My soul experienced a wrenching eruption of pain and grief and excruciating sorrow. Nevertheless, mom, I need you to know, And I pray you can hear what I say. I don’t mind the pain I’m going through. It’s a small price, for our love, to pay. But we knew our bond was worth the cost, And valued each moment together we shared. Now that I must without you go on, The pain of my loss I will not be spared. I wouldn’t, if I could, give my pain away. It’s special and mine all alone. It shows of the love I have for you. Miss you, patti

"Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be more than a thought apart, far as long as there is memory, they'll live on in the heart."

I love and miss you, Nana

I was up at the Griggs home a lot when I was growing up and Shirley Griggs (AKA Nana Griggs) always had a smile and an offer of food for me. She had a wonderful laugh and a loving nature. My heart goes out to all of her children and her husband. Her suffering is gone but her memory will live on in her children, grandchildren, and all those who knew her. Rest in loving Peace.

Hi Shirley,
I was very sorry to hear about your mother. She was a great woman and I am sure you will miss her very much. It will get better as time goes on and you will find yourself saying things she used to say and you will laugh. I hope everything else is good with your family. I hope to see you soon.
