My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family as you struggle through the grief and sadness.
Life brings tears, smiles and memories. The tears dry, the smile fades, but the memories live on forever.

Dear Patti, Billy, Leonard and entire Swanton family.
I want to extend our deepest sympathy and prayers in the passing of your father & grandfather. He was a great friend. I don't know there to begin.As you know dad and I go back to the day when we started kindergartner together at the Bank school. I have fond memories growing up on Winthrop St and hanging out together at Bicycle Park,joining the Navy together and continuing through our adults lives with your mom. He was a great father & grandfather to you all, especially being a great husband to your mom Louise. He was so proud of his family. He will be missed; but our memories of him will stay with us for a long time.

Loving Memory Garden Stake

A Garden
Our Grandfather kept a garden.
A garden of the heart;
He planted all the good things,
That gave our lives their start.

He turned us to the sunshine,
And encouraged us to dream:
Fostering and nurturing the seeds of self-esteem.

And when the winds and rain came,
He protected us enough;
But not too much because he knew
We would stand up strong and tough.

His constant good example,
Always taught us right from wrong;
Markers for our pathway that will last
a lifetime long.

We are our Grandfather’s garden,
We are his legacy.
Thank you Grandfather, we love you.

Lenny Swanton was a wonderful neighbor to us for over 40 years. He was so proud of all his family. He and his wife Louise made us feel welcome when we first moved into the neighborhood. They were loving and caring people. We will all miss them.

The Swanton children, spouses and grandchildren were supportive and attentive to their parents for many years.
