Virginia and Donna,
We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Auntie Rita. I will always remember her for loaning me her wedding dress. It meant a lot to me and it always will. I am sorry I didn't make the wake, but I was so sick. We are both very sorry. Respectfully yours

Virginia & Donna,
Thank you for allowing me some special one on one time with her. I will always miss her smile and the way she always knew just how to put Dad in his place. She will forever hold a special place in my heart next to Grandma.

Love,

What a rare and wonderful woman Rita was. Always a kind word and thoughtful gesture for everyone. Such a blessing just to have known her and even more of a blessing to have been loved by her. As much as we will always miss her I know there are many who are happy she is with them again. Much love to her family.

Rita was in my heart before I could speak her name, She seemed to sense everything about me and What I needed. When I was adjusting to a marital separation, her shoulder received my first tears. Rita was a true and loyal best friend to my mother, Eileen. The world is a better place because of [Aunt] Rita

Rita took me under her wing when my mother died and I was only 5 years old. I remember her fondly as she kept me on the straight and narrow up until I turned 13. Over all the years she would always call me on my birthday. It meant so much. I know she had a good life with a wonderful husband and two daughters and many grandchildren. They are so lucky to have had a mother all these years. I was always jealous of my friends who had mothers to be with. Rita filled many of those years for me. God bless her.

Dear Babcock families:

Please accept my sincere sympathy for the passing of your beloved Mother. As you know, I had the great fortune of meeting her and your Dad @ CRT. What a wonderful couple and how lucky you were to have them in your lives. Rita was a kind, caring and fun loving individual. What a better world it would be if there were more people like her living amongst us. Rest in peace, sweet lady.

I was very lucky to have had the time to look at pictures from the past and listen to many stories about Rita's friendship with my mother Eileen, I know they are together in heaven laughing and reminiscing about the good ole days.

Dear Virginia, Donna, and family:

I knew your mother in the last few years of her life, when she faced the difficulties of old age bravely. I remember sitting next to her a few years ago, in the middle school auditorium, as people going past greeted her. She was opinionated and proud of Jenna's performance, and a very involved grandma. She was a friendly spirit, lively and talkative, and I enjoyed knowing her. My daughter and I send our condolences and best wishes to you all.

Donna and Virginia; and of course your family;

I am deeply saddened to hear of Mom's passing. She loved you two girls more than life itself and her pride certainly showed when she spoke of you both. I will forever remember her as the sweet, caring, fiesty little woman who always was more than kind to me. I was so blessed to have had Rita be a part of Hillary's life as well. I enjoyed our communications and visits over the years since I left the family, and subsequently the area, but she was always there, never judging. Please know that she will continue to hold a VERY special place in my heart!!! We are far away in miles, but we are not far from you both in spirit. Please know that Hillary and I continue to hold you in our thoughts and prayers in this most difficult of time.

Love to you all,
Eliza (Binky) and Hillary Tyler

The first of several trips to Raytheon from at Hughes Aircraft Co in Los Angeles was in Jan 1976. As a young and single engineer, Rita and the late Fran and Ollie immediately sensed that I should be watched over and protected from temptations that could lead to ruin. Hence, no girls, no bars, back at the hotel – alone – by dark. I did sneak out to Lanno’s and the Hilltop Steak House for dinner some nights, though, although I never found out how they knew about it. Since then, Rita became my Massachusetts Mom and I came to love her dearly, more so after my own Mom passed away in 2002. To pass quietly in our sleep is the best all of us can hope for. God has welcomed her home now. May He bless and give her peace forever. 1 Cor 15:51-58

I'm saddened to hear of Rita's passing. I never got to know her well, but when I think of her, I remember the joy she had in her life. She was always laughing, telling jokes and having fun. I'm sure she's dancing and laughing with George now.
Take care.

I remember Rita as a fun loving person who always had a smile on her face. Along with Barbara Sampson, we met at the 4pm Mass at St Charles for several years. She always reminded me of my mother. May her soul rest in peace
