Dear Nancy, Julie, Jeff and families,
All of us here in Florida want to express our heartfelt sympathy to all of you.
Nancy, we wish we could of been there to support you during this sad occasion. Over the years, we had so many, many good times. Too many to possibly list. All the laughs and yes at times tears but we somehow managed to stay close and enjoy each others company. We will never forget Bill. His kind ways, sense of humor, and photographic skills are things we will all remember. It is truly a gift to have one good friend in a lifetime. We certainly have been blessed to have had you and Bill in our circle of friends. You know we are all here for you if you need a friend. Sincerely, Maryellen & Kenny, Kay & George, Peggy & Donny, and Gloria Goodwin

To Nancy, Julie & Phil, Jeff & Kelley - We extend our deepest sympathy to you all in the lost of a wonderful, close friend. Words cannot express how we feel, but be assured we have the best memories of such fun times through a lot of years. He loved you all and his grandchildren meant the word to him. If ever there is anything we can do for you, you know where to find us. With our love and sympathy.

Jeff, while I didn't know your father, I do know that he raised one of the kindest, most respectful men I know, and that speaks volumes about his integrity and the values that he imparted to his children. Know that he remains with you always through your love and memories of him. Linda Goldenberg

One's memories of his/her childhood do a great deal to shape the kind of person they will grow up to be--from ice cream on a cool summer evening at the Four Seasons on the Cape, to helping mow the yard, to the perfectly timed joke-and-a-smile, the blessed childhood memories of Grampi will always be with me. I've added to those memories many others in recent weeks that will enshrine Gramp forever as one of my true heroes, a man who ended life with all the perseverance, dignity, and love with which he lived. Thanks, Gramp, I'll always love you.

It is true that Bill was one of a very rare breed. His integrity, wisdom, quick wit, and caring manner made him a strong, positive role model in my life. I will miss his quiet, respectful conversations about life. His guidance and support throughout the years has been invaluable to me. Moreover, he truly helped me to see the priorities in life that were the most important. I was lucky to enjoy a relationship that included not only “serious discussions” but also included many fun loving moments throughout the years. His humor still cracks me up. All in all, I think his greatest legacy was his wonderful ability to teach the younger generations in the family about what it really means to be a loving parent and friend. I will miss you more than you’ll ever know Uncle Bill. I’ll be thinking of you.
To Jeff, Kelly, Julie and Aunt Nancy, We are so sorry for your loss………I know that there is not much we can say to alleviate the sadness. His love for you all will help you and we know that he will keep a watchful eye over all of you….as he always has. He was truly one in a million.

Jeff,
Words cannot express my feelings over the loss of your dad. I've known him my whole life and he will never be forgotten as the true gentleman that he was. He was a class act and a wonderful human being.
My best to your mom and Julie as well. I have fond memories of him walking Cindy around the neighborhood on the weekends as well. He will be sorely missed.

Jeff, as you know your dad was one of the many firefighters from our neighborhood that I looked up to, and is part of the reason I chose this career. He will be missed by all I am sure.
